What To Factor Into Your Decision To Move To Casa Grande, Arizona

So, you know you’re going to move to Arizona but you’re not sure which city to move to. You could just throw darts at a map, or pick a place and hope for the best. What if you gave a bit of forethought? You may significantly increase your chances of finding a place you will love. Compatibility is everything. Here are some suggestions to help you rate your compatibility with the new areas you’re deciding to move to.

Affordability

Three factors tell you how far your dollar will go in your town. Employment, wages, and cost of living. Salary.com is a website that ranks how expensive a city is by the Salary Value Index.  Use their Cost-of-Living Wizard to compare your current living costs to your potential costs of the new location.

Weather

So, you’re considering moving to Arizona and not sure the dry heat is for you? Do you prefer a dry sauna to a wet sauna? Now really, hot, is hot. The difference in our Arizona dry heat is that your body naturally regulates it’s temperature by the sweat that evaporates from your body. In the more humid climates, although the temperature may be lower, it feels hotter because the higher concentration of water in the air condenses on your skin which doesn’t allow your sweat to cool you down and therefore causes you to feel warmer. Drink lots of water in Arizona.

Healthcare

How close do you really need to be to medical facilities? What type of medical needs to you have? Make a checklist of medical specialties to need to be close to. Does Casa Grande have everything you need? Maybe 30 minutes from Casa Grande will take you to what you need in Chandler or 45 minutes to Phoenix? Are those travel times fit within how close you need to be? The American Medical Association may be another helpful resource.

Schools

If you have children in need of schooling, it is very important to not only check out what schools are in the area but what are the school’s systems, programs, extracurricular activities, and class sizes. Click the school bus to the left for a list of Casa Grande schools with links to each school web page.

Spiritual Life

Is the congregation active? What sort of events and opportunities for involvement do they offer? Are they non-denominational? Do they match your beliefs? How far away are they?

Above all, a visit to your potential city is the most important. It’s just like dating before you choose “the one”. It’s looking perfect on paper, however, when it hits you, it’s not quite how you imagined but it’s still the perfect fit. Driving around, even getting lost, eating out, and talking to the locals is sure to help you find that intangible sense of what you’re looking for.
