EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program to fund the PhoenixMart project in Casa Grande, AZ.
The Pinal County Supervisor, David Snider says he was approached with a “business opportunity” in 2009. He was to meet with a group led by Elizabeth Mann who was the developer of Phoenix COFCO Center, the Chinese Cultural Center. In this group meeting, they discussed the project being an EB-5 immigrant investor program. This program expedites immigration to the United States by issuing EB-5 visas in exchange for foreign investment. To obtain the visa, individuals MUST invest at least $500,000 and 10 jobs must be created from an area deemed as rural or with very high unemployment, therefore qualifying Pinal County. Immigration through investment is aimed at stimulating economic activity and job growth. In return, eligible aliens have the opportunity to become legal permanent residents. This project requires 300 investors which MUST create 3000 jobs for qualifying U.S. workers. They may also preserve jobs in troubled businesses. Of course, there are naysayers of the project so, I’d like to remind you that knowledge is power. Knowledge overcomes an acronym I’ve heard often lately, FUD. Let us not allow Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt get the best of us.
“The highest form of ignorance is to reject something you know nothing about.”
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
So now I leave you with the following video and encourage you to seek the knowledge you need to feel confident in your own assessment of this project and the EB-5 process.
